Leave a comment before July 29th, and your vote will be included in our special!  Better yet, leave a witty contribution and win blog linkage!

Be sure to include who you think will win, or who should win versus who will win?  Who was snubbed? Which network will walk away with the most wins? Is Modern Family worthy of all the supporting cast nominations? Why didn’t the USA Network get any Emmy love? We’d love to hear from you!

Watch for the announcement of the 1st Annual Tamberny Awards this August.  The 63rd Annual Emmy Awards airs September 18th!

  1. I’m not going to weigh in on this one because there are a lot of those shows that I’ve never seen, so I would just be making stuff up. But I will say this. I think The Big Bang Theory is the funniest comedy on TV, and Jim Parsons is an awesome actor. He makes that show. This show is filled with intelligent humor, corny humor, and lots of puns (which I love).

Sorry, I know the comments were supposed to be votes, but I had to mention The Big Bang Theory.LOL

    1. Lauralynn, your comment definitely counts for a vote towards Jim Parsons and The Big Bang Theory! I do like this show and the fact that it’s brought the coolness factor back to our geeks. I bet it does well at the Emmys… Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Glad to see you two are doing this! For the record, Amber will tell you, it was my idea FIRST – you guys are the perfect choice. (No need to thank me, just sign over your bonus checks, LOL).

I’m only casting a vote in a couple of categories: my faves, Big Bang Theory and Survivor.
    Have fun!

  3. Comedy Series – Modern Family (because if my husband watches it, it must be funny)
Drama Series – Dexter (because I haven’t seen any of the others)
Lead Actress Comedy – Martha Plimpton/Raising Hope (love that show!)
Lead Actor Comedy/Drama/Lead Actress Drama – I’ll pass…okay, I just pass on everything except any other category that has Modern Family.

    I’m lame.

  4. Uh, yeah, I think I’ve watched one show out of all those listed above. Wait, two. American Idol got nominated over The Voice?! American Idol is just a way to make fun of people and tear them down *cough* (Simon). All the contestants on The Voice were great, and even though it was a competition, it was also about building relationships between competitors and the coaches.

Okay, I’m really not that steamed about it. 😉 But, alas, I can only vote for what I’ve seen: Mariska in Law & Order: SVU. Does my vote count if there really was nothing for me to compare it to? 😛

    1. It counts, Angela!

I was surprised about The Voice too – the show definitely rivaled American Idol, and I heard repeatedly that it was more about the talent and less about the popularity. I honestly think a lot of good tv was snubbed….

  5. Ooo! How fun! I really really liked this season of Modern Family, and so I hope the show wins best comedy.

    1. Hugh Laurie is fabOolous as House, but the best actor category is a tough one this year. I don’t want to give too much away now….so I’ll save it for the award show! Thanks for stopping by, Jen!

  6. Cat Deely! Cat Deely! Cat Deely! I know Reality Show Host isn’t the most exciting of categories, but her nomination is way overdue. She’s like the mother hen to all of those contestants and she can rock a mini-dress and the color yellow like no one else. Love her!

I definitely agree with the others with a Modern Family vote for Best Comedy. But will also dare to vote for a Best Supporting Actor in a comedy and choose my favorite MF character — Phil, or Ty Burrell. I’ll go with his TV wife, Julie Bowen, for Best Supporting Actress in a comedy.

As for Lead Actor in a comedy, I have to vote for Steve Carrell. He hasn’t always been my favorite character, but in his last season, I think he nailed it and his last couple of episodes made me sob!

  7. Thanks for your votes, Caryn! I am saving a lot of what I have to say about the nominations until our awards post, but I will say that so far you and everyone else agree about Modern Family! It may be a landslide….

  8. I don’t watch many current shows, so I’m not familiar with most of your nominees, but I don’t know how you can omit “The Closer” or Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) as leading actress or G.W. Bailey (The Closer) as best supporting actor.

    1. These are the actual Emmy nominations, David. Can you believe they omitted Kyra and The Closer? This astonishes me….you just got the 1st sneak-peak to the Tamberny Awards…. 🙂

  9. Wish I could vote, but I haven’t seen all of these. Wish I could though. Great idea and looking forward to your winners.

  10. I have seen almost none of these! I do enjoy Big Bang Theory and never miss an episode! I particularly like Johnny Galecki because he has to portray being the coolest of the nerds, and that’s a fine line to walk. Where’s Castle on this list, by the way? Any screenwriting categories?

Can’t wait to hear the Tamberny winners! Will there be an envelope? Speeches? May I wear an evening dress and walk on a red towel to recreate the excitement?

      1. “Tambernied-up”? I think Tiffany and Amber have launched a new craze that will overtake the country. I’m on the phone now with Joan and Melissa Rivers negotiating the terms for their appearance. TMZ is holding on the other line.
